Infrastructure project management for PWD-style contractors
Highways, water, power. Government formats. Private velocity.
Blueprint for infrastructure: PWD-format deliverables, multi-agency coordination, RA bills with retention handling, geotagged progress, and audit trails that satisfy government auditors.
For contractors working with Indian government bodies
Infrastructure contracts in India come with their own set of non-negotiables: PWD formats, running account bills with retention and advance recovery, multi-agency stakeholder reviews, and an audit trail that can survive scrutiny years after completion.
Blueprint handles all of that as a first-class thing.
RA bills with retention + advance recovery
The RA Bill invoice type captures:
- Cumulative amount and previous cumulative amount.
- Advance recovery (deduct against mobilisation advance paid).
- Retention (held back per contract terms; released on completion).
- TDS deduction (194C) and GST (CGST+SGST or IGST).
The net payable on each RA bill is computed inline — no parallel spreadsheet.
Multi-agency coordination
Projects typically have owner, consulting engineer, and contractor stakeholders — plus the government body as the paying authority. Blueprint's two-layer RBAC handles this: invite external users into a project with read-only or sign-off permissions, scoped to specific sheets or phases.
Audit log that satisfies auditors
Every state change, every payment, every drawing revision writes to an append-only audit log with user, IP, user-agent, and change diff. Soft deletes only — nothing ever disappears. When the CAG auditor asks, the answer is in the system.
Progress + attendance, geotagged
Site supervisors log attendance and progress from the mobile app with geotagged photos. The PWD-style measurement book is replaced by a digital, auditable record.
Who this is for
- PWD-class civil contractors.
- Highway, bridge, and water infrastructure builders.
- Power transmission and distribution contractors.
- Railway infrastructure contractors.
Yes. Every invoice captures supplier + buyer GSTIN, state codes, and auto-splits CGST+SGST (intrastate) vs IGST (interstate). Invoices are numbered sequentially within the financial year (April–March) and include all mandatory GSTR-1 fields. TDS under Section 194C is computed automatically.
RA bills carry cumulative and previous-cumulative amounts, reference the previous RA bill, and maintain a sequential RA number per project. This is a first-class invoice type — not a workaround on top of standard invoices.
Yes. Most teams onboard a pilot project in under an hour and run Blueprint alongside existing tools for a month. Bulk imports for vendors, BOQ items, and historical invoices are available on Studio and Enterprise plans.
